                                                    ’’VOLUME ONE’’
                                                ‘’CHAPTER THREE’’

he Lord God commanded  Adam on the dos and don’ts in the garden of Eden, the Bible says, “of every tree of the garden thou may freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eats thereof thou shall surly die”. Gen.2:16-17. What does God expect from Adam at this particular point of trial? God told Adam what a poisonous tree it is, which should have deprived him not to eat from it; yet the tree was among the others in the Garden with him and his wife. What does this turbulent period mean to this couple? What was God’s intention for Adam? Does God expect that Adam should behave as a matured man? He whom the whole tree of the garden was bestowed upon: he supposed to understand what a harmful tree would be, according to how God told him. This would have stirred him up to take precaution not to eat from the tree and that would have led to the safety of both of them.

In this case, it means God is reasonable by given Adam warning not to eat from the tree. Gen.2:16-17. Likewise, believers are strictly warned to disregard any attitude that can lead them to disobeying God’s word, seeing such attitude as an express way that leads into destruction and damnation of hell fire. Lord Jesus encourages everyone in the house of faith to abide by His word and be guided with common obedience to the word of God which makes a difference among others which Adam lacked in the past, He said. “He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore, you do not hear, because you are not of God”. Joh.8:47. Adam was not the principal offender but Eve, for he hearkens to the voice of his wife and shuns God’s commandments, which became sin upon him, even unto this generation of mankind. Gen.3:8-12.

Nevertheless, Lord Jesus encourages everyone to disregard any circumstance that may rise in order to make anyone commit sin as Adam did, when he hearkened to the voice of his wife, he went and eat from the tree. Gen.3:12, The Lord enlightened the believers to emulate His person as the right Lord who surrendered unto the will of the Father, given example of the obedient life-style of a man who built his house upon the rock, and when many difficulties arises, but because the house was built upon the rock, it stood still without being ruined by circumstances or threats of any kind. Matt. 7:24-27 compared such a person as wise one and shall never cease to bear good fruit of the spirit at all season. Ps.1:1-3, Gal.5:22-23. He/she shall also stand in the time of tribulation to withstand all trials and difficulties, no matter how strong the wave may strike, one with God shall stand still and overcome them all, Amen.

Lot should be considered as one of the good examples in the Bible who dwelt in the land that was occupied with sinful men. He married among them, but refused to behave waywardly as the people’s custom demands. Not only that, he encouraged others to flee such sinful way of living, said the Bible. “And Lot went out, and spoke unto his son’s in-law, which married his daughters, and said, up get you out of this place, for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his son’s in-law”. Gen.19:14. It is unfortunate that they did not count his word as reasonable warning and they all perished together with the sinful people because they underrated the true word and mocked the true warning. Gen.19:23-25.

Lot’s wife was one of the victims of disobedience; she remembered her jewellery box and turned back despite the fact that the angels have warned them not to look back but she looked back and with immediate effect, she became a pillar of salt. Verse: 26. Lot did hearken to the warning of the angels of God and flees for his dear life with his two daughters without minding the valuable properties that are about to perish with the land. Gen.19:23-30.

God’s expectation at the turbulent period is not hidden; He assured believers on what is acceptable in the day of trouble saying. “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shall glorify me”.Ps.50:15. The LORD has not withdrawn His service from helping the sons of man till today, but motive behind man’s heart that always tear them apart from God’s helping hand are the source of all problems that besiege the entire world till present day. This situation has caused barrier to many lives which made them loose heaven for hell; such attitude had led many people to sudden death and condemnation in which they sang had I known in the grave. Lord Jesus did not hesitate by expressing His mind on this critical assignment which believers stand for, He said. “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves, be ye therefore wise as serpent, and harmless as doves”. Matt: 10:16.

The Lord’s expectation is to see believers as wise to get loose from any Satanist influential power that may look attractive, which drags many people into sinful nature and are trapped: this can only be done when one obeys the word of God which is a weapon that curbs every device of the wicked one. Eph.6:11. The Bible warned believers to desist from any act of negligence to the word of God, which is a swift weapon of destruction to those who hearkened not to the word, and shall become condemnation to such careless Christians at the end. The Bible made clear the fact saying. “My people are destroyed for their lack of knowledge because thou have rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shall be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”. Hos.4: 6.

It was an opened truth that, believers are not made for destruction at the beginning. One thing that is sure is; if those that are called by His name (Christian) would understand what they derive in God’s word, it would have helped them out of all troubles and lead them to safe haven. Act.27:8, but being ignorant of the content in the word had made many people miss it, and most of them were doomed into the pit of destruction in the old, even presently many believers go down as well. This reminds me of the parable of the sower, when he sowed good seeds and some fell into the right soil and bore good fruit, while others bore no fruit due to lack of resources needed for their growth. Matt.13:19-23.

The Bible gave better understanding about the treasure that is found in the words of God saying. As new-born babies, desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby.”1Pet:2:2, you deserve the sincere spiritual milk of the word of God through which you may grow up in faith as to please God that shall enable you to overcome every challenge of life. Heb.11:6. The only way to be fruitful is when one engages with ‘the word of God. “For he shall be like a tree planted by the river of water that bring fort his fruit in his season; and whatever he does shall prosper”. Ps.1: 1-3.

Hearkening to the word of God makes it easy to acquire total freedom from lack, sickness, and sudden death, which has already been imposed on humans by the wicked one, and no power elsewhere that can save man except the power in the word of God. Duet.8:3. Another fact is.  ’By the word of the LORD were the heavens made: and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth’’.Ps.33; 6, Abiding by the word of God is the only solution to all problems around the world, otherwise things shall be stagnant to whomever that shun the truth.

I recall that after the LORD had delivered the children of Israel from the hands of Pharaoh, they were in the wilderness and Moses sent some spies to the Land which they purposely came to possess. On getting to the land, they saw people of giant stature in the land and they were terrified, so liken themselves to grasshoppers before their predecessor. Actually, the LORD was aware that the children of Anak which resides in the land as giants and stronger than the children of Israel by physical strength; nevertheless, the LORD commanded them to go and fight the giant and take over the land. What was the LORD’s expectation at this period? Was the reaction of those two courageous men among the people who went to spy the land, seeing that the report they brought was an encouraging report to Moses who sent them. “And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, let us go up at once, and possess it; for we will be able to overcome it”. Num.13:30.

Nevertheless, the rest of them disagree and spoke in anger and said.

“We are not being able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we” Numb.13:31-33. However, most of the elder among the people were discouraged and put blame on Moses and Aaron, and even spoke against the LORD God who brought them out of bondage; they accused Him to have brought them into the wilderness to destroy them. Num.14:1-3. Did God really bring them to be destroyed? No! The LORD brought them to the fulfilment of the promise Land which he swore to give to their forefathers (Abraham). Gen.15:18-21, Num.14:30.

Being people that live after sight without adequate faith, they became blinded through fear and failed to overcome the hour of trial that was purposed before them by God. They underrated God’s power and reacted by sight and not by faith. Consequently, God sworn in his wrought that none among the elders who murmured against Him shall inherit the Promise Land, but Caleb and Joshua with the little kid that was left behind from age of twenty years downward were the people that inherited the promise Land. Numb.14:20-38. The Bible testified saying ‘’Joshua and Caleb lived and possessed the Land of promise till this day’’. Josh.24; 1-8.

God’s expectation toward any believer at the time of tribulations seem applicable to what happened to those courageous men among the rest, He expects every believer to acknowledge Him as He who can do all things without exception: for He is not a man that He should lie, neither will He be weak from doing whatever He had started. Numb.24:19. No matter how difficult the earth may have become today, the LORD has never changed His position, neither has His power reduced an inch. He is ever merciful and kind, His power and might is forever more ‘Amen’.

Thus said the LORD, “For I know the thought I think toward you, says the LORD, thought of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end”.Jere.29:11.

God ‘s expectation towards all that believe is to trust and obey Him always, not by mouth as the custom of men, but in thought and indeed ought the believer to stand in trusting Him, even when one is passing through much difficulties. Within a twinkle of an eye, God can turn our night as broad day light, and the songs of victory shall become ours in due time, and people shall rejoice with us in return, Amen.

David had never once trained to fight a war before he fought Goliath. One thing I know that led David to victory is the confident he had in the LORD God that gave him victory over Goliath. “Then said David to the philistine, thou comes to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied”1Sam.17:45.  Men ought to build their trust in God without doubt as David did through which he killed the deadliest enemy of Israel. God expected us to stand and challenge our problem at once with the power given unto believers through the name of Jesus Christ. This is better than doubt, complaining or murmuring, just as David did not murmur but confronted Goliath face to face and won the victory. One ought to act on that name that is given to everyone that believed. “That at the mentioning of the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth”. Phil.2:10.

Lord Jesus is on the throne and every troublesome enemy that lay people down into entire captivity of sin, poverty, lack, sickness shall be pulled down in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen). This name is given unto every believer for pulling down stronghold of the enemies and has victory over them. The expectation of the LORD for every believer is to call the name of Jesus Christ, which is a weapon of warfare against the devices of the wicked one, and be confident when calling that name to conquer every satanic giant that confronts us. Furthermore, it enables us enter our breakthrough and become healthy to enjoy God’s given wealth in life, Amen, 3John:2.

Lord Jesus assured saying “And these signs shall follow them that believed: in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak in new tongues: they shall take up serpents: and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them: they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”. Mark.16:17-18. This authority has been given to them that believed and are expected to make proper use of it whenever turbulent period arises against us in the earth. Happy are they that heard the word and abide by it, for they are victorious children of God in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen). Matt.7:24-25, Josh.1:8. John.13:17.
